I found this book really difficult to review, but I'm going to give it a try. I enjoyed the first part of the book - that's why I entered the raffle. But the war games in the middle of the book ruined it for me. I work at a local public library so I know this is an award winning and popular author. Apparently this is an early novel, written before the books that won him awards and readers. Maybe publishing early books of popular authors isn't a good idea. Ultimately, I couldn't finish this book (which is rare for me) so I won't be reviewing it on Amazon, Goodreads, Barnes and Noble or any other platforms. I really wanted to like it but I just couldn't. I don't have anything else to say about it.
