This may be a sci-fi novel, but it's also really frightening. Leaving the world in the hands of children and hoping they'll survive? Children in the past have survived many horrors on their own, but as a parent the thought of leaving the entire world in their hands if scary. The solutions seemed flawed, but also, with a ticking clock, probably the best option available. Normally this large an amount of detail in writing distracts me and makes me stop reading, but in this book it was so necessary and intriguing. I am totally obsessed with finding out what kind of new world the children will create once all the adults are gone! I'm ready to see this new Supernova Era!
