The author sets us up in expressions of hope in the prologue. The children speak of their bright futures without awareness of what is to come. The prologue is dramatic. It made me want to read more.
I am not impressed with the cover given the premise. I would not choose the book based on its cover, however, I am intrigued after reading the initial excerpt. The theme is a universal one.
