I had DNFed this book about 50% of the way into it and it was a struggle to even get that far honestly. I just had an extremely hard time relating to the main character, which was a weird feeling for me, because I am an asian american woman and grew up with a lot of asian american problems. There is always some kind of aspect in these kinds of books that I am able to relate to because of this but something about this book just made it extremely difficult for me and I just could not get over it.
However, I feel that the book was very well written and fairly easy to follow in terms of plot and intention. It was just something keeping me from fully connecting to it which is more on me and less on the author. I really cannot wait for his other books and eagerly anticipate reading all of them.
