This book was just very much not for me. I can handle storyline of a relationship being based on a lie for a little bit but... it really took until the end for things to actually get resolved and that didn't leave enough space and time to actually do that.
I was missing the part where the characters truly get to know each other and especially the part where the main characters properly apologizes and then him and his love interest get to actually build trust again.
I just really want more in terms of character development with a story like this. I think my biggest problem is that I did not mesh with Sunny, like at all. I honestly found him to be pretty annoying. And from the part I read, Cirrus had no personality at all, there was nothing distinct about her that made her an individual character and not just a stock person for Sunny to react to. I don't know I think I just need to try some out-there books to kick this slump, but I hope it passes soon because I have a lot of books I want to read right now and I feel like I can't pick up anything.
