The first pages remind me of the 80s movie, Can’t Buy Me Love, where the nerd desperately wants to be with the cool chick and will do anything to get her...even pretend to be someone else. I realize there isn’t a $ exchange here but it still seems fun. I always like a good coming of age/comeuppance story where the nerd triumphs!
