Engaging Stream of Consciousness
The First Impression of Super Fake Love Song made me smile and want to keep reading. It is like we are listening in on Sunny’s stream of consciousness. He and his buddies, Milo and Jamal, are into role play (like Dungeons and Dragons, I think), and they are definitely considered nerds in high school, complete with a requisite bully. His older brother, Gray, was more into music and is no longer living at home; apparently he is following his dreams. It appears that Sunny is going to have to orient a new girl to high school. And that he may tell a white lie about a hobby and then he needs to make it real. I will definitely read this. The tone and humor are wry and engaging.
