I'm so excited to see another David Yoon book coming out! Frankly in Love was one of my favorites last year and Super Fake Love Song looks like it will be equally awesome. I was already giggling at the banter and repore among Sunny, Jamal and Milo. Their unapologetic nerdiness makes my heart smile. But the moment when Sunny adds the teaspoon to the collection in his absent brother's drawer broke my heart a little. I'm excited to read more about that relationship and to see how things develop with Cirrus Soh. I sense another complicated and hilarious romance brewing.
As always, I love the #OwnVoices representation of a Korean-American teenager, especially from David Yoon, who has such a distinct and poignant voice. I am definitely excited to pick this book up this fall.
