Torn on how to feel
Take this review with a grain of salt as poetry is not often a genre I find myself reaching for. My immediate impression of Ziggy Alberts' "sun memos" is that the beautiful cover instantly draws the eye but the poems themselves waffled between thought-provoking (pg. 14) and just outright confusing (pg. 26). I was not particularly moved by any of the pieces despite this being billed as a journey of personal realizations shared between reader and author. Ultimately, this was not my cup of tea.
