I'm honestly a bit surprised by how much I liked this, as I was worried "poems from a musician on the road" would be tough to relate to and a bit tiresome. Happily, this is a much more universal collection of emotions in the first section, ideas that feel relatable no matter your point in life.

Some of them were so short and simple that I was almost startled into truly taking them into myself. As if they were light enough to slide onto my skin, and potent enough to sink all the way in. Others were slightly longer and I'd read each stanza a few times to hear it fully. Overall though, they feel hopeful and loving, pushing away the jaded nature that can sometimes be easy to fall into.

I love the cover and title and think that so far they perfectly match the content and convey a clear sense of what someone will get from the collection. Can't wait to finish reading this one!
