Locked-room mysteries are my jam, so I was very excited to receive an advance copy of this book. Even though I don't read very much YA, the blurb hooked me and I had to give it a try.

The idea of a 1920's themed weekend party with some of your closest friends sounds incredibly fun. Probably without the murder, though. LOL. There were a few slow spots, but I enjoyed the book overall. I liked most of the characters and the storyline had enough twists and turns to keep me guessing. And I would be remiss if I didn't mention how much I like the cover - the gold knife with the 1920's style pearls? Very cool.

This book will definitely appeal to readers who like a YA whodunit.

Many thanks to Bookishfirst and the publisher, G.P. Putnam's Sons/Penguin's Young Readers Group, for an advance copy of this book. My thoughts are my own and without bias or favor or expectation.
