The characters were great but the plot was meh

I am finally going to write this after a month when I finished it. I loved the characters and the setting which really brought me back to And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie, one of my favorite books. But the plot was very predictable and I guessed who was the murderer. I really did not like how Izzy kept on thinking about how she was guilty of something that we the readers didn’t know. It felt like it wasn’t a murder mystery and once you know what she is guilty of, it makes her seem over dramatic and not at all as bad as she said it was. The ending was really the only thing of the plot that i did not guess. I also really liked the different point of views for the past memories and how we got a glimpse of each of the character’s lives before the murder and really made the saying “don’t judge a book by its cover” come true. Overall, the book was not my favorite but is a great book to read for more mature younger readers.
