This was such a fun YA mystery!! I loved the 1920’s vibes and while teenagers spending that much money (even uber rich ones) felt unrealistic, it still was an entertaining time! I also loved the focus on the friendship between Kassidy and Izzy. The romance in it did feel a tad insta love ish but it was a small part of the story so I didn’t mind it.
There were too many references to THAT THING and THE SECRET for far too long before the reveal. It’s a personal preference, but I just don’t like when books try to create suspense and tension like that, especially bc it was fairly easy to guess what it was.
I did predict the majority of the plot, but there was one reveal that took me completely by surprise. I thought the characters were well developed and I totally got clue vibes from the mystery which I loved.
