Suddenly a Murder is Lauren Munoz's debut novel. This is a young adult thriller following a group of teen friends in a locked room murder mystery. It was a fun quick read at around three hundred pages, and I liked the twist at the end. The group of friends is Izzy, our main character, her best friend Kassidy, her boyfriend who ends up dead, and a few others. I didn't really get the whole 1920s themed party, it didn't feel very 1920s which I was actually grateful for because if this had been playing into historical fiction I would've been bored. I also don't usually like locked room, but this felt like an entire island and big mansion so it really worked here, and it was fun feeling like you were eavesdropping with the main character in secret passageways. There's also some romance in this book. I am looking forward to seeing what this author writes next
