The cover art for this looks more adult than YA and honestly didn't grab my attention. The knife looked to be a pen, and the theme was lost on me at first glance. After reading the blurb my interest was more piqued. However, after reading the opening pages I find that I don't really connect with the writing style and was having a hard time paying attention or feeling connected to the world or characters, so this will be a pass for me.
