While this First Look does a good job of setting up mystery elements through things like opening with the perspective of someone who appears to be about to attack Blaine and teasing about whatever Izzy's problem with him is, I think the strongest point is really just Izzy's character. In particular, as the scene shifts from these spoiled rich kids on a yacht and then to Kassidy's lavish house and then at last to Izzy's small apartment, shared with her mom and sister and in which she sleeps on the living room couch, it creates such a keen sense of how apart she is from even her friends due to her financial situation and really makes me root for her right away. While I was less compelled by the bit on the yacht, even despite the mystery elements, this moment really drew me in.
