This is another one of those scholarship kid surrounded by wealthy kids stories, where bad behavior has deathly consequences. The book adds a couple of elements by making it themed in the 1920s and making it a locked room mystery. This makes it a little more interesting on a pretty overdone trope. The ending of the preview was a good cliffhanger.
