Good book, awful character names

This book seems very interesting and I can think of a lot of my regulars who I'd recommend it to (or who I'd pass my copy along to if I got one)! It has rich kid drama, it has fish-out-of-water-scholarship-kid class tension, it has a fun aesthetic, and it has an interesting mystery. I also appreciate how self-aware it feels about its own campy elements.

My big complaint is just that so many of the character names are completely abysmal. This is almost as bad as when I tried to read a book where the protagonist was named Eyelet and the antagonist's name was an unpronounceable mess of consonants. It's like driving down a road with beautiful scenery with a million potholes--the surroundings are nice, but then there's these little things constantly jolting you out of enjoying that. It's enough of a distraction that I'm giving four stars and not five.
