The story is atmospheric early on as we walk the halls of Ashwood Manor. A secluded island, a glitzy 1920s themed party, a silent film once shot around the manor, and a bunch of teens about to head off to college cut off from modern technology in a locked-room mystery plot. And its also clear early on that each person has a secret or frustration that they're harboring underneath their pearly white smiles. The tension thickens with each chapter. What does each character know about the other, why are some angry with others, and why has Izzy brought a knife hidden within her backpack? I look forward to what's ahead.
