I read this one a long time ago and kept avoiding writing my review and I don't know why I did that.
This book tells the story of a girl in a war, creating strategies and trying to help her friend win. But when she meets up with her sister, she realizes something is wrong, and maybe she is not who she thinks she is.
This was full of twists and turns! Honestly so shocking. I don't know how to say much at all without spoilers, but there is a shocking death and shocking realization only about halfway through, and then it feels like a wholly different story! Which was really surprising.
This book is chock full of war tactics, strategies, mythology and lore, and I think it will be super interesting for fans of She Who Became the Sun and other sort of epic fantasy war books.
I really liked the characters and voice. I listened to an audio and found it very captivating!
