Strike the Zither is the first book of a duology, its fantasy retelling, inspired by the Chinese epic The 3 kingdoms.

Zephyr is a strategy, she is smart and loyal to her queen, she infiltrates the enemy realm, and she wants to know the enemy and find allies. I like her, Zephyr, at first she feels
a little arrogant, but is because she knows what she wants and how to get it.
The writing is fast pacing, immersive, a rollercoaster between epic battles and strategies, and the plot twist D: so good. It end in in cliffhanger (the author wanted to make a big book but was divided in two) so I can’t wait for the sequel.
Bonus points:
The book has some character illustrations, they are beautiful and detailed, I hope in the second book we will have more, it was a lovely surprise.
