So it felt like this book had two different vibes - which to be fair, it was split into two parts. I liked the first half and was wary about the second. Ultimately, I think the author pulled it off; there were so many twists that I didn’t see coming. Overall, I liked the book and thought it was an interesting and compelling tale.

I’m not quite sure if I will pick up the sequel. I think it will depend on how I feel when that book comes out. And how much this particular book sticks with me over the next year.

I definitely think this could go either way. Right now, I think I’m suffering from a bit of book whiplash.

I loved that Zephyr was an arrogant know-it-all and I really enjoyed Crow too. Their relationship takes a back seat to the overarching plot and this is definitely a plot-based book. I can’t speak too much to the plot without spoilers. Legit the entire book is like a big spoiler 😂

So do I recommend it? To certain people, yes. I think this could appeal to people who liked Daughter of the Moon Goddess - which feels like the best comparable title I can think of at the moment.
