There are several things that stood out to me for this book. Obviously, the gorgeous cover! I was also drawn in to the idea of this being a retelling, as I generally really enjoy and appreciate retellings. I also love books that promote feminism and female characters in a male-dominated era. Add in the fantasy element and I am definitely looking forward to reading this book!
