First thing, I LOVE the character artwork and map! It gave me the perfect frist impression of the book, and set it apart from the many other ya fantasies I've seen. The writing didn't amaze me, but I understand that ya writing is rarely very elegant and flowing. It sounds like the perfect quick read when I'm not in the mood for something very heavy.
