I've read Joan He's previous two books, and I especially enjoyed Descendants of the Crane. This book already reminds me of it slightly, but I feel like He has grown as a writer in the way she forms such beautiful, poetic thoughts. Personally, I was really intrigued by this first look, and can't wait to see where the rest of the story will go!
