I’m rating this objectively, knowing high fantasy is rarely my thing. I’m not particularly attracted the synopsis, but this story is gorgeously written and opens in a compelling way. While I remain convinced that it isn’t something that I’d enjoy all the way through, I think it’s an excellent addition to the genre that will be thoroughly enjoyed by the right audience!
