I liked that before the story began the reader was given images to help picture the powerful warriors in action. I like how this book jumps right into the characters and action, along with the tenseness of the beginning battle and escape. But, I did find myself a bit lost as background information on the character, powers, people, etc... slowly were revealed but with the reader needed to fil in or ignore the gaps until the reveal. There were also many characters mentioned and to sort through, but I started to be able to keep track of who is who.
