An interesting premise and an action-packed beginning. As much as I am interested in the story and like a in media res introduction, it felt odd to have the main character's betrayal come before we as the reader had a chance to really understand and get emotionally attached to who and what she's betraying. The dialogue and narration also read as a little young/immature, though it is YA so maybe that's to be expected. Still interested to see where things go from here.
