I'm already ready to ride to battle with Zephyr. She's witty, she's smart, and she's fearless. The only thing I wish is that I could be carried on the journey with her. She's ten steps ahead of everyone in these first pages, but she's also ten steps ahead of me, the reader, and I don't entirely understand her plans before she's already enacting them, and I wish I did. As a reader, I want to be in the character's head making decisions with her and I felt I was just an outside watching and wishing. But I would read on because I'm curious if that'll change and I'm curious to see more of Zephyr's story!
