I can't believe I've been missing out on MCs like Zephyr.
Seeing Zephyr in action during an evacuation was the best introduction to her character! She's good under pressure, quick-thinking, sarcastic, and her mind never wavers from her ultimate goal, to get her boat passage to ally with the South. And I love that this all comes from her pov. To see her mind in process is intriguing itself.
I like the cover as well. This girl playing the guqin(?), fire approaching, arrows encircling her, but seemingly composed in a chaotic atmosphere; Zephyr, basically.
