When it comes to self-help books, I can be quite picky, but I've been recommended this one from a bunch of friends and decided to check it out. I was definitely not disappointed! This particular advice that came from this book felt really applicable and practical which I appreciated a lot.
Reading about the process of healing after trauma through therapy, meditation and learning to be present with their mental state and perspective was something that I felt was super valuable. There was room for me to consistently reflect what I was reading to my own development and felt it was encouraging to read these encouragements beyond just feeling understood. Having mindfulness and being present in the moment felt like mastering a skill that I put on the backburner, but reading through this book felt like perfection wasn't the goal, but learning to attain my own sense of peace for the moment I was living it.
