Great for people who like self-help
I'm unfortunately not part of the demographic that this book is aimed towards. I find that the narrative of self-help books tends to lean towards condescending most of the time so reading through this with that mindset was difficult. The writing style felt a little pretentious and it was hard to get over. The reminders about meditation and fitting it into my lifestyle felt mundane and awkward rather than inspirational.
Though I did enjoy the personal stories and how they fit into the overall message, I unfortunately could not connect with the voice of the book or justify incorporating any aspect of it in my personal life. I believe that someone more open to self-help and meditation might find this more enjoyable than I did. I would be open to reading something by this author outside of the genre of self-help/meditation because the writing by itself was articulated well.
