The preface was fine, but the introduction was written in such an informal/casual manner that it was a complete turn off for me. It bothers me when people use "like" as a filler word (akin to "um"), so I definitely don't want to see it in a published self-help book. The thoughts contained in parentheses with no regard for punctuation were irksome as well. I am not personally a fan of self-help books in the first place, so although the preface was good, I could not read more than a page of the introduction.
