The cover of this book is lovely, and not what a shopper may expect from a self-help book. I'm not a particular fan of this genre, and my review reflects that personal taste. Reading this first impression, I wasn't immediately sucked in by the author's writing style or content. I've read a few christian nonfiction books (basically same as self help), and I've dappled in a few other self help books, and none of them have sold me on the genre. This one didn't inspire me to give the self help topic another chance, so I'm giving it a so-so rating. Please keep in mind my biased reading styles. If this genre is one you enjoy, you should consider reading the first impression your self and you may be able to provide a more relevant review for like minded readers.
