The writing itself is engaging enough and has a very casual, more conversational feel. It's a good topic to write about but with the short glimpse we get, I'm not confident that it will add much to a very crowded self-help field. Yes, I was amused at the Angela Duckworth reference (former psychology major and I love her too) and the side commentary makes this very readable, but I simply can't judge the content based on the first impression, even with some interesting points on present vs presence because of how inherently fluffy the genre is.
