As a Philosophy Major, what I liked about this right away were the questions the introduction called to mind: what does this young person know about unhappiness? Not to get into a competition over who has experienced more hardships in their lives, but does that play a factor in someone's ability to achieve presence? And if so, how does he propose to teach me - someone he admits he knows nothing about - how to achieve said presence without knowing my history, how many walls I may have to soften or masks to unveil?

I also like that he addressed one of my first questions - how do you apply what was learnt in such a closed environment to the real world?

It would be interesting to see how these questions are addressed, and whether his teachings are, in fact, applicable across different demographics with varied backgrounds and education levels.

I think he needs to work on his jokes though. I didn't get the sense that he and Julia were sibling-like besties; that section felt a bit forced.
