The beginning of this book had me extremely intrigued. The foundation could have made for a great mystery or even feel-good story but I ended up feeling dissatisfied. It was very character-focused and you saw a lot of growth in the main character, Julie, but the dialogue felt a bit unnatural. For example, almost every line of dialogue began with the person's name that they were speaking to. It started to feel really repetitive. If you're into reading about general information about people's lives, this book might be for you, but personally, I like a lot of excitement and guessing when I read and I didn't get that from this book. I do see a lot of potential with this author I just think there needed to be a longer editing process and more story/plot development. SPOILER: I know part of the story/character of Julie was that she was non-confrontational but it felt so unrealistic that she wold uproot her whole life without having a thorough conversation about what was going on with her husband.
