I received an ARC from Bookishfirst, and I found this to be a moving, emotional, unforgettable read! The raw and honest emotion put into this book had me in my feelings while reading. Julie is a strong resilient woman that is going through such a life changing ordeal. Julie wants to be perfect in her life as a wife for her husband, and Dan is her perfect match, so she thinks until it all starts to fall apart. Like the pieces of a torn paper drifting in the wind so is Julie’s ideal fairytale world. This poignant story is so real and earth shattering, and for many can hit so close to home in their real lives. I felt this in my soul, and it brought me back to some not so wonderful times in my life before my wonderful husband I have now who is like no one else I have ever dated or loved. Julie tried, she gave her all, and then she did not fail…. She rose above and pushed forward to find herself. She had always been enough even when she did not think she was, but she did not give up, she did not quit, and she overcame and faced the truth she could not change and rewrote her story. I am excited to read the second installment and see where this goes beyond Still Crazy! Thank you for the ARC and the chance to give my honest review.
