The cover of the book is attractive even though readers do not know what the yellow roses symbolize. The premise of the book sounded like it had possibilities, and it definitely starts off quickly. Wife Julie finds a piece of paper that her husband Dan left on the nightstand: another woman's name and phone number. Sadly, Dan has cheated before, although there were always excuses, such as he was just giving the woman a ride home on his motorcycle. I know a lot of work goes into writing any book, but the preview pages were enough for me to realize that this book is not for me. Thus my 3 star rating may not be entirely fair. There could be other readers who find Julie's acceptance of Dan's behavior understandable. I think part of my disconnect with the plot is the fast summary of all of Dan's previous indiscretions prior to Julie heading on over to her job at a local cafe or bakery.
