Initially, I was excited for this first look. It seemed like it would be a good domestic mystery/thriller. However, that is not the vibe I got, at all. It reads more like a choppy journal memoir than what I expected. The characters seem well thought out and the scenes are well described but, for me at least, everything else is lacking.
