First of all, I love Marie Lu's storytelling and will ready almost anything she writes. But one of the first things that drew me to this book was the title. It immediately spoke of opposites and I knew it meant the book would be interesting. The next thing is I heard the author promoting the book and the concept sounded great; a pop star and a secret agent. When I got my hands on a copy it did not disappoint. There was great chemistry between the lead characters Winter and Sydney and great action. Another reader described it as a cross of The Bodyguard and Mission Impossible which is a good description. Gripping and engaging. I was caught up immediately with their sparks playing off each other as well as their personal issues. The character building was well done. It’s predictable in one or two places, but twists had me surprised too. When the book ended I was like No! I really look forward to seeing what their next adventure will be.
