The cover drew me in, the plot drew me in even more.
I had no idea this was an espionage book going in, and though the beginning was a little slow, once I hit that quarter mark, I was in it for the long haul. I loved these characters and their mission. I was always on the edge of my seat. And the twist at the 50% mark had me reeling. As did the plot twist at the end!
This romance pulled on all my heartstrings. I think out main characters had fantastic chemistry. This is not your typical bodyguard romance. There is so much adventure and plot surrounding these lovable characters, and I understood their motivations so well.
I love the other relationships portrayed in this book, too, especially concerning Winter's friendships. It's great to see characters with good support systems.
I cannot wait for the next installment with these characters. I'm so excited to see more!
