An enjoyable romp of a book featuring glitz, glamour, and danger.

When Winter Young, the top pop star in the world, gets into the wrong dark SUV, at first he thinks he's being kidnapped. Instead, he's being recruited for a special team for a CIA contractor. His invitation to give a concert at the birthday party of a shady wealthy businessman's daughter may give them the access they need to finally put him behind bars. Winter agrees and is paired with a fake bodyguard his own age, Sydney. Sparks fly, and they find ways to squeeze in moments of smoldering chemistry among all the dangerous moments. But when Winter and Sydney arrive at Penelope Morrison's birthday party, they quickly realize that this mission is even more complicated than their briefing hinted.

Sydney's great as the tough-as-nails secret agent who's using the organization to climb out of poverty. Winter's constantly surprising her though, perhaps because he too is climbing out of a bad home situation, albeit with a different method. They're both hungry for all life can give them, and Sydney's perception of Winter as a spoiled rich boy quickly changes. He's on top of the world, but it's not enough. Together, can they find what they're both looking for?
