Upon seeing the cover of the book, I thought it was going to be a simple read about a singer and random person falling in love. However once I read the first look, I can say with confidence that this definitely has more than meets the eye!
Most romance books are romance heavy with nothing else for plot. This book sounds so much different! Our heroine, Sydney, is a spy! I’ve never seen a book done like this where the main female character has such a dangerous and badass career.
Since Sydney is the youngest in her team, I’m intrigued to learn why she chose to be a spy and how she achieved being the youngest spy ever.
I also love the title of the book since it’s definitely a nod to both characters - Stars (Winter) and Smoke (Sydney).
Overall, I’m extremely excited to read this. With Marie Lu’s knack for writing slow burn romances and action packed scenes, I’m sure this book will easily become a favorite!
