A new Marie Lu book is always a big deal, and I'm sure this one will be no exception. At first I found the global superstar element of Stars and Smoke a little corny, but as I kept reading I became more intrigued by the character of Winter Young, his quest for a deeper purpose than selling out stadiums, and his need to know the truth about his older brother's death. I'm interested in meeting "the Jackal" in future chapters and watching this enemies-to-lovers trope play out!
