I really enjoyed the opening chapters of this book. One chapter in, I already feel like I know Winter Young, and I find I’m invested in his story and his past. I like that Winter is a little older than most YA characters. Jackal, though mentioned only briefly, is already piquing my curiosity. And within the first few chapters, there were more diverse characters than most entire novels contain. I loved having a hijabi character! I hope she makes a comeback and we get to learn more about her. I can’t wait for another Marie Lu romance to obsess over.
