I can say two things for certain: enemies-to-lovers hits hard, but Marie Lu books hit harder. I swear that Marie Lu can write in any genre, for any age and I will absolutely devour it, and Stars and Smoke is no exception. The story hooked me from the first page and I cannot wait to see what happens next! I also love all of the characters that Marie Lu writes (one of my favorite aspects of Marie's storytelling) and Winter does not seem to be an exception; I cannot wait to see where his story goes, and to witness his dynamic with Sydney and for the enemies-to-lover romance to begin!
Also, the cover for this book? Simply gorgeous! The artwork is beautiful, and I love the color palette. If the story itself didn't already hook me, the cover definitely would.
