Looking at the title, one word springs to mind, "glamor." I have never read any of Marie Lu's works before, but based on the excerpt and her cover designer's choice of depiction, she seems very much in line with a YA series that depicts a career criminal and her high-rolling, high-flying thieving crew. If you know what I am talking about, all the better, because I can't remember the name at the moment.
