We only meet one of the two main protagonists in this excerpt, but I like where things are going with Winter Young's character. His reflections on what he used to enjoy about being a performer (meeting fans for hours, signing things for them) versus what he gets now (hustled in and out of his mega shows) open the door for a money vs happiness exploration. I'm interested to see how they play on his altruism to get him to go along with the secret agent mission.
