I genuinely think the body positivity/acceptance movement is something that really doesn't get enough attention in the media. There was a period in my life growing up when I was overweight, and although I was REALLY young at that time, I still endured so much teasing - and surprisingly, that teasing wasn't from my classmates and friends as much as it was from adults. Yes, adults. I would get all kinds of comments about my body from people who really had no right to say anything. Even though I understood some of those comments came from a place of worry (not all of them, though) I know now how damaging that was to me growing up, and it later in my life it made me realize the importance of body positivity and representation for all body types. People have a right to feel beautiful. That said, I think this book handled body positivity and representation beautifully. If you're looking for something to open your perspective, this is the book for you.
